Automatic trip logging from checklists
When I create a share card for a specific checklist, could the app automatically add those birds to a trip log or a collection archive?
Completed
This is a great idea! thanks a lot for suggesting it. You’re right, this is a real pain point. Since eBird doesn’t really allow syncing new sightings via API, this could be a nice workaround - import once, then keep adding via checklists automatically. I’m definitely planning to work on this soon. Will share an update once it’s ready.
That would help keep things organized. I often forget to update my main list after a big trip.
Good idea. It would definitely cut down on manual data entry.
Exactly. Just linking the checklist directly to the collection would be fine.
done! Automatically save checklist birds to your collection You can now paste an eBird checklist link directly into LiferRadar and instantly import new birds into your life list, no CSV required. What’s new * Added a new Import flow with two tabs: * 📋 Checklist link * 📁 CSV file * Paste any eBird checklist URL * LiferRadar automatically: * fetches the checklist * detects new species * adds only unseen birds to your collection * keeps existing birds untouched * Already collected birds are counted separately * Lifer numbering continues correctly * Checklist metadata like date, location, country, and state is imported automatically * Success screen now shows newly added lifers with photos This makes importing birds after a trip much faster and turns checklist sharing into a seamless collection-building workflow.
